Mens Sabre Lame (RH) (Copper)
“The tip of the fencing weapon is the second fastest moving object in sport; the first is the marksman’s bullet!” In the 16th century judges needed a way to “see” the hits or touches of the blade. Black chalk was used, hence the reason our uniforms are white. Today we take a more civilized approach with the invention of electronic scoring equipment. The Sabre lame allows the judge to identify a valid touch. Sizes are in European please check the size chart before ordering.
